On most UPVc and composite doors there is a certain amount of adjustment that can be made to the hinges to solve these problems. Ignoring the problem will just lead to bigger issues down the road. If in doubt address the problem straight away because failing to deal with it can result in having to replace the locking mechanism which can cost a lot of money.
